What the price covers
$9.9 a month — or $79 a year — keeps a Voicecape subscription active, and you can cancel at any time. One subscription activates on up to 3 Macs at a time — a work machine, a personal one, and a spare slot for the day you replace one.
Every feature is in it. There is no higher tier that hears you better: every subscriber gets the same real-time cloud transcription, the same five languages and the same accuracy.
The 14-day trial
The trial starts the moment you first launch the app. No card, and no separate trial build: it is the app, with a clock on it.
When the 14 days are up, Voicecape stops inserting text. Your settings and your personal dictionary stay exactly where they are — on your Mac — and they are back the moment a subscription starts.
After you buy
Polar is the merchant of record: it is the seller on your receipt and the party that charges the tax for your country. A licence key arrives by email; you paste it into Settings and press Activate.
Cloud dictation uses the network while you speak, and the bundled on-device model takes over when there is none. The subscription itself is re-checked quietly in the background and holds for 90 days from the last successful check — a laptop that spends a month off the network does not lock itself.
Refunds
A full refund within 14 days of purchase, for any reason, and having used the app during those days does not disqualify you. The refund policy says the same thing at more length, including what happens to the licence afterwards.
Updates
Updates arrive through the updater built into the app, and every one of them is part of the subscription — there is no upgrade fee and nothing extra to buy. What changed in each release is a page rather than a promise.
There is no version 2 waiting behind a second price: while the subscription runs, you are always on the current build, and new capabilities land there rather than in a paid upgrade.
What we do not sell
There is no team plan, no seat management and no single sign-on today. If your team needs them, tell us — whether anyone is waiting is what decides if they get built.
There is also no cheaper tier that is worse on purpose. Charging less for a version that mishears you is a worse product wearing a price tag.
Questions about the price
Is there a free plan?
No — there is a free trial. Fourteen days of the whole app, no card, and nothing held back during it.
What happens when the trial ends?
Voicecape stops inserting text. Your settings and personal dictionary stay on your Mac and come back the moment a subscription starts.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes, in the customer portal linked above. Cancelling stops the next charge and the time you already paid for keeps running.
How many Macs does one subscription cover?
Three at a time. You can free a slot yourself in Settings → Licence on the Mac you are retiring.
