Cleaned, never rewritten
Speech has "um" in it, and repeats, and the moment where you start again. Exact Clean takes those out and leaves the sentence you meant — with your words, in your order.
What Exact Clean removes
Fillers ("um", "uh", "그", "えっと"). Accidental repeats, where the same word arrives twice because you paused mid-phrase. And self-corrections — when you say "send it Tuesday, no, Wednesday", what lands is "send it Wednesday".
What it does not touch is your vocabulary, your sentence structure, or your register. It is not a rewriter with a light setting; it is a different operation. If you dictate a blunt sentence you get a blunt sentence.
Verbatim, when the exact words are the point
Verbatim inserts what you said, filler included. It is the right mode for quoting someone, for transcribing an interview, or any time the disfluency carries information. The mode is a setting, and it can differ per app — see Tone per app.
Why "never rewritten" is a constraint and not a slogan
Most voice tools improve your sentence. That is a good demo and a bad habit: the text that appears is not what you said, and you cannot tell which parts were changed. The moment you cannot trust the output verbatim, you have to re-read everything you dictate, which costs more than typing it.
So the cleaning is bounded. Removing a token you did not mean to say is safe because you can see it is gone. Substituting a better word is not, because you cannot see what was replaced.

Can I switch modes without opening settings?
The mode is per app — set it once for your terminal and once for your email client, and Voicecape follows the app you are dictating into.
Does cleaning run in the cloud?
Cleaning is a separate switch from dictation. Leave the processing mode off Polish with AI and the tidying runs on the device.
Will it fix my grammar?
No. That would be rewriting. It removes what you did not mean to say and leaves the rest exactly as you said it.
