One subscription, up to three Macs
A work machine, a personal one, and a spare slot for the day you replace one. Activation is per Mac, and you can free a slot yourself.
An account is a way back in
You can create a Voicecape account with your email address, or sign in with Google. An account is not a licence and it is not required to dictate — it is a way back in that does not depend on finding a licence key in an old inbox.
Nothing is synced to a server by having one. Your settings, dictionary and transcripts stay on the Mac that made them; Backup is how you move the first two yourself.
Free a Mac yourself
If your licence is on all three Macs and you are retiring one, open Settings → Licence on the Mac you are letting go and press Release this Mac. The slot is free straight away, and the same key brings it back whenever you want. Email is still the answer for a Mac you no longer have, because a machine that is gone cannot release itself.
A month off the network does not lock you out
The subscription is re-checked quietly in the background and holds for 90 days from the last successful check. A laptop that spends a month away from the network does not lock itself.

Press Release this Mac on one you are retiring, or write to us and we free a slot the same day.
Does an account sync my settings?
